The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 sweeps up the old Fire Regulations into one easy to understand document.

The new regulations introduce a risk-based approach, in contrast to the prescriptive requirements associated with the special premises regulations. This requires the Responsible Person to carry out a risk assessment to demonstrate that the fire safety precautions are adequate for your premises.

You may be the “Responsible Person” required by law, but be honest - are you suitably qualified, competent and confident enough to carry out detailed Fire Risk Assessments? And then implement any changes?
